Metropolitan Museum of Art Egyptian Revival Lute Player Brooch with Paperwork
As best as I can find out, this is from the 70''s and is something that could have been bought in the MMA gift shop during their Egyptian Revival exhibit. What makes this one unique is that someone saved the paper that came with the brooch explaining what this is. The brooch is marked with the MMA signature and has been tested as silver. It is in good vintage condition with some heay tarnish and scratches and dings associated with normal wear. The brooch measures just over 3" tall and is 1.5" at it''s widest point and the weight is 16.6g. The clasp on the back works as it should. (Bin#MU3)
